1. Who We Are

BeanFit ("the App", "we", "us", "our") is a personal fitness tracking application developed and operated by Anthony Grisoni, an individual based in the United Kingdom ("the Developer"). The App is distributed through the Apple App Store.

2. The Short Version

BeanFit does not collect, transmit, store on any server, or share any of your personal data. Everything you enter into the App stays on your device, under your control, at all times. We have no servers. We have no database of user information. We cannot see your workout data, and we never will.

This policy explains what that means in detail and describes your rights under applicable law.

3. Legal Basis for This Policy

We are committed to complying with applicable data protection and privacy laws, including:

Because BeanFit does not collect or process personal data on any server, the obligations these laws place on us as a data processor or controller are minimal. This policy documents that position clearly and completely.

4. Information We Collect

We collect no personal data.

All data you enter into BeanFit — including workout logs, exercise entries, sets, reps, weights, body weight records, session names, session RPE, cardio entries, and any other information you record — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's on-device storage framework (SwiftData/Core Data). This data:

We do not use any analytics tools, crash reporting services, advertising networks, or third-party software development kits (SDKs) that collect data. The App contains no tracking technology of any kind.

5. Information We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, the following categories of information are never collected by BeanFit:

6. How Your Data Is Stored

You own your data. All workout data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage. You are the data controller of your own information. You can export, back up, or delete your data at any time using the tools provided within the App. Uninstalling the App from your device permanently removes all associated App data.

iCloud Backup. If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, Apple may include your BeanFit data as part of your standard device backup. This is governed entirely by Apple's Privacy Policy (available at apple.com/legal/privacy) and is outside our control. We have no access to your iCloud backups at any time.

App Export/Backup Feature. BeanFit provides an in-app export feature that allows you to create a local backup file of your data. This file is created on your device and stored wherever you choose (e.g., Files app, email to yourself). We have no access to any exported files.

7. Third-Party Services

BeanFit does not integrate with any third-party services, platforms, APIs, or SDKs. We do not share data with social media platforms, advertising networks, analytics providers, cloud services, or any other third party.

Apple App Store. Downloading and using BeanFit requires an Apple ID and is subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy. Apple may collect certain technical and usage data as part of the App Store experience. This collection is governed entirely by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to any data Apple collects and there is no exchange of data between us and Apple in relation to your use of the App.

8. Children's Privacy

BeanFit is not directed at children under the age of 13 in the United States or under the age of 13 in the United Kingdom. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

In practice, because we collect no personal information from any user, there is no specific privacy risk to younger users. If you are under 13 years of age, please do not use BeanFit.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has used the App, please be aware that no personal data has been collected, stored, or transmitted by us. You can remove all App data by uninstalling the App from the device.

We do not sell the personal data of anyone, including children under 16.

9. Universal Opt-Out and Do Not Track

Because BeanFit collects no personal data and uses no tracking technologies, there is nothing to opt out of. The App does not respond to Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals or "Do Not Track" browser signals because no tracking occurs.

10. Data Retention

We retain no data. All data is stored on your device and is retained for as long as you choose to keep it or until you delete it or uninstall the App. There is no data held by us to retain, delete, or export.

11. Security

Because all data remains on your device and is never transmitted to us, the security of your workout data is governed by your device's built-in security features — including your device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and Apple's on-device encryption. We recommend keeping your device operating system up to date and enabling device-level security to protect your data.

12. State Privacy Rights and Disclosures

Depending on the state in which you reside in the United States, you may have certain privacy rights. Because BeanFit does not collect, sell, share, or process any personal data, these rights apply only in the narrow sense that you may contact us to confirm this position.

Applicable rights under various state privacy laws (including Virginia's VCDPA, Colorado's CPA, Connecticut's CTDPA, and similar laws) include:

To exercise any of these rights or to confirm our position, please contact us using the details in Section 17.
